Parents of 8th Graders
I hope you are well and looking forward to some of the end of year events as our 8th grade students finish out their careers at Arcohe and move onto the high school. I wanted to send out a few reminders and announcements about the next couple of months.
Tuesday, January 24th - (NOTE - THE EVENT IS NOT ON WEDNESDAY) 8th grade course selection with Liberty Ranch High School - 5PM - 7PM in the East Campus Media Center. The high school counselors will be on hand to help select classes and get students enrolled through their program, InfoSnap. Please set aside time to attend. If you miss this opportunity, I believe you will have to reach out to the high school for alternatives. The high school has two times set aside for families:

Yearbook Dedication Pages - Ms. Fuglsang has extended the date for the Yearbook Dedication page to Tuesday, January 24th. Please contact her for details.
Promotion - We have set the date and time for 8th Grade Promotion for Tuesday, June 6th at 2PM. More information will be coming about the event and a call for parents to help with set-up, clean-up and some activities.
End of the Year events - To go along with promotion, we do a number of things with our students to make this a special time. We will be sending out information in the coming weeks about the Staff vs. Student game, Sunsplash, awards, etc, so please be on the lookout for those.These activities will take place on various days the week prior to promotion. They will not interfere with the County Fair.
